Hair Album begins with an old woman on a trip to the hair salon. When the hairdresser starts to cut her hair and it falls to the floor, it forms into a young version of the woman and her late husband. The hair re-enacts memorable moments that they shared together, which was achieved with stop-motion animation using puppets made from hair. As the widow moves on from her husband's death, the film expresses just how cathartic a trip to the hairdressers can be.
