I'm the chef/owner of a restaurant and cultural space in New Orleans, Louisiana called Carmo, as well as a small courtyard cafe called Cafe Cour. I am also the founding member of the BioCultural Institute and Tropical Foodways. In my business endeavors and advocacy work (which often flow together) I look for collaborators who have a passion for "saving the world," people who see the "forest AND the trees," and the river running through it to the ocean. I have a firm belief that by being a positive influence in one's local environment and beyond, and by supporting the efforts of those who work towards useful solutions to challenges facing our shared society, that it is possible to surmount obstacles which would otherwise be termed impossible.
