Dan's work

I'm a recent Illustration graduate from Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, currently based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. My work focuses primarily on detailed graphite illustration, visual storytelling and surreal imagery, with experience across book covers, editorial illustration, commissioned music artwork and custom tattoo designs. I have also developed self-initiated narrative projects based on Romanian folklore and organised and exhibited my own work in Rotterdam and The Hague. I'm comfortable working both traditionally and digitally, particularly with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom, and I enjoy developing an image from initial research and sketches through to final artwork. I'm especially interested in illustration where composition, atmosphere and storytelling are central to communicating an idea.
