Dan Clays is Chief Executive of Omnicom Media Group in the UK. OMG has 270 clients, and around 1500 people in the UK. Dan is responsible for the overall business performance, client delivery and future growth strategy of Omnicom's media agency and specialist service operations in the UK.
Specifically, Dan oversees the direction and performance of leading UK media agencies OMD UK, PHD, Manning Gottlieb OMD, Hearts & Science, alongside OMG's specialist marketing services including Annalect, Fuse and Resolution. OMD Group is the largest billing UK media agency based in London.
Dan has been in Omnicom for 8 years, leading OMD UK as Chief Executive of the London based agency between 2012 and 2019 with multiple clients including Lidl, Barclays, NFU Mutual and Betway appointing the agency over that period.
Prior to OMD UK, Dan spent a decade in the digital sector, running the independent specialist agency Quantum which became part of Havas and the Arena brand in 2009. His media career started in TV at Carat and then PHD, which 20 years later are part of his OMG team.
Dan is Chair of Media Smart, the industry's flagship education non-profit to ensure children can confidently navigate and interpret the media and advertising they consume. He was short-listed for Media Leader of the Year in 2019.
Away from work, Dan lives in London with his wife and three children and is a very proud supporter of Liverpool FC.
