ABOUT
QUEERY is a concept for a non-profit organisation, providing a platform for young people to ask questions relating to LGBTQ+ sex education and relationships. This project aims to raise awareness for the lack of discussion about LGBTQ+ safe sex and relationships in schools.
Studies have long shown that in schools where pupils are taught about queer issues, LGBTQ+ pupils are less likely to experience homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. QUEERY recognises that to break down the stigma surrounding this topic, it needs to be a conversation that can be had by everyone.
QUEERY provides a social media and an online platform to answer questions and bring awareness to this issue. Discussing same-sex relations and safe sex for LGBTQ+ people can feel like a big task, but QUEERY's practical guides and toolkits break it down into manageable steps. It provides resources for schools, including posters and easy-read guides that are great to use with students.
