With dark outline work conducted in gloss enamels, satin enamels and acrylic, with detailed areas of gloss varnish, the painting catches the light in a number of different ways producing an interesting textured surface.

The marine grade Birch ply surface has been sanded and oiled three times over by the artist which has brought out a deep grain.

To finish the the piece Matt has had the painting framed in a bespoke end grain ply with white edge, hand made by a London based contemporary furniture designer.
