This piece has been constructed using over 80 images from several spanish horror comics from the early seventies, that were discovered on travels through Spain in the Spring of 2014. It has been realised as a giclee, measuring 84cm x 42cm, and has been printed using archival pigment inks onto fully archival 310gsm, 100% cotton paper. The paper has first been given a matt varnish screen printed layer which give the colours an enhanced glow, then the print has been finished by hand painting certain areas with a gloss varnish. This final process raises certain parts, and as they catch the light, creates a vibrant alternative surface. The print is signed and numbered on the front. As this is a one off piece of work with a special finish, it will not be printed again at this size.
