Quite simply, the Green Party had neither the funds nor the massive media machines of the big four parties - so we needed to make noise in different ways. Our General Election broadcast was viewed by more than a million people online before it had even made it to its prime time TV spots: and with Caroline Lucas re-elected and more than 1.2 million votes in total, it's fair to say it worked pretty well.
