Published

Creativepool held its annual Connect: London festival at Boiler House, Old Truman Brewery last week with two days of inspirational talks, workshops and networking events for the creative industry.

The packed programme saw the action take place across two stages for leaders and learners as well as an exhibition space where a host of creative companies showcased their services.

The agenda included keynotes from Sir Martin Sorrell and Sir John Hegarty who spoke on the current state of advertising and what the future holds for their respective businesses.

Brands such as Kellogg’s, The Economist, BBC, Facebook, Soho House, The Creative Mentor Network and Vice also appeared alongside agencies like AnalogFolk, Huge, McCann, Ogilvy, Vamp and Zak.

Influencers Emily Hunt, Adah Parris and grime artist Kieran Lewis also played a part as discussions on diversity, tech, creativity and culture took place.

The Workshop Zone hosted by Benk+Bo saw sessions from the likes of Hidden, SheSays and Dalton Maag take place and in the Expo Zone, Innocent drinks, Antalis, Illustration Web, Theatro360, Ricoh, Crunch, Tapestry and PicFair Studio kept attendees entertained in what was an inspiring two days on Brick Lane.

Connect: London came to a close on the second day with Creativepool’s iconic Pool Party, which saw delegates dance the night away to the sounds of DJs from MassiveMusic with an open bar.

A big thank you to all our event sponsors: Attest, Blutui, Coterie, Hippeas, Taxo’d, Ambrose Press, Podge Events, MassiveMusic, Wooshii Video Agency, Benk+Bo and Stolichnaya Premium Vodka.
