ABOUT

The client, Kivikoda, approached me with the goal of refreshing their brand identity to better reflect their current business and professional image. This included updating the logo, typography, and color palette while ensuring the new visual identity remained simple, modern, and aligned with the company's main activity—importing and cutting marble and quartz slabs.

I began the project by creating two mood boards, each presenting different visual directions with curated typography, color choices, and design elements. Every selection was supported by detailed reasoning to help the client understand its relevance and meaning. Once the client chose the direction that best suited their brand, I continued with a light competitor and market analysis to ensure the new identity would stand out. The logo redesign transitioned from a three-part block to a single square form with a cut edge—symbolizing marble cutting and incorporating conceptual detail into the letter “K”. The entire brand update was documented in a brand book that outlines logo use, colors, typography, and optional graphic elements.

The result was a clean, minimalist visual identity that better communicates Kivikoda’s professional, modern character. The new logo reflects their business with a strong, symbolic design. The final outcome—a complete brand book—equips the client with a clear, cohesive system they can consistently apply across various touchpoints, ensuring long-term brand recognition and visual clarity.
