About me

I've recently returned back to the UK after 3 and a half years in Tokyo and I'm looking to start a career in Public Relations and Communications. I'm in Edinburgh at the moment, but I am very keen and happy to rellocate.
I initially moved to Japan, not long after University, on a working holiday visa to fulfill my passion for skiing. However, when my visa came to an end (at the same time that the economy did), I decided to stay for a while longer. Now that the economy is more stable, I would like to put my education to use and pursue a public relations career in the United Kingdom.
I'm seeking an opportunity to apply my university education in business, marketing and communications in unison with my extensive client and customer relations experience in both Japan and the United Kingdom. I have an out-going personality, enjoy meeting new people from interesting and diverse backgrounds and I pride myself on my ability to identify and develop productive stakeholder relationships.
Although, on paper, I may lack professional experience - I gained some industry experience through work experience placements in PR/ media firms during university. Essentially, I enjoy working both independently and in a team and I am interested in client management and customer relationships. That said I am eager to gain broad exposure and learn about all facets of the industry.
