About me

After receiving his English Degree from the University of Western Ontario and a post-graduate in Media Copywriting from the Humber College School of Media Studies, Cory began his career at Toronto-based independent agency, Cundari. It was there that he spent over 10 years rising from summer intern to group creative director. He then spent 3 years at Havas as VP, Creative Director and then 18 months serving as Executive Creative Director of J. Walter Thompson before emigrating to England and re-joining the independent agency world with BBD Perfect Storm.

Having spent nearly 20 years in the advertising world, Cory has worked across virtually every category from finance to packaged goods to automotive and created award-winning work for iconic brands such as BMW, Johnson & Johnson, New Balance, Maple Leaf Foods and HSBC Bank.

As well as being a regular contributor to Canada's Strategy Magazine, Cory was also a professor at the Institute of Communication Agencies' renown CAAP course and has had the honour of being a judge at several of Canada's biggest advertising award shows. In addition to having won two Gold Lions as well as multiple finalists at the Cannes Festival of Creativity, his work has been recognised at the Clios, One Show, Communication Arts, as well as winning best of show honours at Canada's Marketing Awards, the CMA's as well as the Effies. In 2020, he was also awarded "World's Best Pancakes" by his wife, Kate and their three children - a title that he intends to fiercely defend in 2021.
