About me
I have been in the hair and makeup/makeup effects artist in the film industry since 2010, and owned a very successful business providing these services for over a decade. I managed the marketing, advertising, accounting, hiring and running department teams ad Head of Makeup on over 100 features, videos, TV, and live stage productions.
As a firm believer in continued education and practice, I began a series of masterclasses at Cinema Makeup School from Ve Neill, Eryn Krueger Mekesh, Mike Mekesh, Neill Gorton, Kim Greene, and an apprenticeship with Todd Debreceni, over the years. I have years of experience in both union and non-union Films, TV productions, Broadcast, Stage productions, but am ready to move to the next level and work on strictly or predominantly union productions, and as always, encourage the non-union productions to come to the union side.
I spent the last 15 years in Colorado working in TV/Film, Commercial, and Live/Stage productions, the last 9 as a Makeup and Special Makeup Effects Artist member in IATSE Local 7 Film Union. I spent two and a half years of that duration as VP of Film for Local 7, before and through the pandemic until resigning a year ago.
In that time, I became both Level A and B Covid Compliance Officer Certified, took and then lead safety classes, researched and drafted the approved Covid Compliance Whitepaper and Guidelines for Local 7. The document was also requested and used by the regional SAG union and other local Colorado locals.
I look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions, or providing any additional materials and details you may need. I can also provide a letter of recommendation if requested.
Best and Warm Wishes for the New Year,
Cory Taylor Bryant
