ABOUT

This video was destined to be a project for university, but turned out to mean much more than that. It envisions my point of view on the world and the way in which people are used to living their lives. It acts as a wake-up call intended to bring to attention the bond between each and every one of us and Mother Earth. Because as Andy Goldsworthy perfectly put it, “We often forget that WE ARE NATURE. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves.”

Besides the scenes that were filmed, it includes footage from: the documentary Baraka (1992), industry scenes taken by Uli Hamacher, animal scenes from BBC One, Smithsonian Channel, ByWildTV and Discovery.
