About me
My name is Conor Leary and I have just graduated Salford University with First Class Honours in Graphic Design BA (HONS).
Ever since I was young I have always had a keen understanding and enthusiasm for anything creative, were I didn't strive in certain academic roles I succeeded in that of Art, then computer based design and now (not to sound too modest) Graphic Design. Studying Design for the last 5 years has given me overwhelming knowledge and experience, teaching me about every aspect that can be considered or created but now I really want to learn more and bring my attributes to benefit others. I feel my ambition and open-mindedness for design can bring something new to an established team and maybe I have some qualities others don't. In addition to the key design qualities I equip, I have a great personality, sense of initiative and after 6 of my early years working around people and the last 4 and a half working in a demanding retail position I have a great set of people skills and other handy capabilities that I can bring forward. The good thing about having an ethic for both design and illustration is the ability to fully understand what it means to succeed as an all round graphic designer, leaving me more open minded and less naive as a creative. Illustration has taught me to appreciate all the little details and be able to concentrate on one thing for tediously long hours. Design and communication has given me the understanding of the simplicity it sometimes takes to make what seems complicated work.
