For their June cover showcasing the new Ghostbusters movie, Empire magazine wanted to incorporate a see through acetate cover reveal showing the iconic 'Slimer' ghost. This was done by printing 1 selective white and 4 colours with a silicone seal onto clear, gloss 250mic Apet. Initially Empire asked Colour Five to run a series of machine proofs to make sure the overlay would work with the cover design and after a few colour tweaks the result was a resounding success for Empire. Over 200,000 'reveals' were printed and trimmed and sent to Empires fulfillment house who applied the acetate to the 3 different magazine cover versions in record time.
