ABOUT

The outdoor clothing brand Merrell's brought its passion for adventure in the great outdoors to the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. To get guests excited about the places the Capra hiking shoe could take them, Hill Holliday and Framestore created an Oculus Rift virtual reality experience which allowed visitors to take a pulse-racing hike through the Italian Dolomites from the comfort of the custom built Trailscape Lounge. Along with the VR experience, the lounge also featured the fantastically intricate Capra goat sculpture.

I was lucky enough to be a part of the design team for this formidable project, my main contribution being the Trailscape logo itself. The logo was inspired by a compass and was informed by the style of the set design of the experience.
