About me
Claire Banse is a creative strategist and copywriter based in New York. With experience in the fashion, wellness, and art worlds, Banse is able to speak to a variety of audiences. Her work skillfully handles the shared language between consumers and brands, playfully winking with a common understanding that ushers you into a sense of community and belonging.
This ability was carefully honed during her tenure as a niche media tycoon. Banse co-founded The Drunken Canal, an independent gonzo newspaper that blossomed during the 2020 Pandemic. The paper's success was founded upon its ability to create and welcome readers into a world that spoke directly to them.
Within the newspaper, Banse created creative content for brands such as Balenciaga, Starface, Polaroid, On Running, Soylent, and more. Following The Drunken Canal, she worked as a Creative Strategist for Something Special Studios, where she created 360 campaigns, experiential installations, and developed full brand identities. She has gone on to work independently for a number of brands such as Nike, Bose, and Thesis.
