About me

I am a recent graduate looking to start real work, in a field where the skills I offer - my degree was in English & Creative Writing - will be useful to a greater cause.

There may be room for development in my CV, but I can say without exaggeration that I can produce exactly the sort of texts each individual brief requires. To take examples from the SMRS portfolio, marketing Sky as an employer would require an emphasis on entertainment, and the ability of employees to help Sky entertain people, whereas the Imperial War Museum would want something more complex, requiring staff with a commitment to public projects and to the value of history to the museum's visitors. These requirements would be reflected in every detail of the cross-platform copy, in its style, tone, even its sentence structure.

In concrete terms, I have experience in journalism, both as an editor and as a writer (I'll be attaching an example with this email). I have worked for high-stakes employers such as Tung Sing Housing Association, so I understand that abstract phrases such as 'deadlines' and 'teamwork' refer to the actual life of a company and its clients. Whenever I am between jobs I look for work experience and operate a blog about literature.
