designjunction spotlight 2016: Ben Rigby of Haberdashery

Published by

Following on from our Poolcast series at designjunction, we caught up with Ben Rigby, Co-Founder & Creative Director of Haberdashery. Haberdashery is a design practice that uses the power of light to create landmark sculpture, innovative products, bespoke lighting, and R+D for architects, interior designers, brands and institutions around the world.

Ben founded the studio with Mac Cox and Daniel Siden over their mutual interest to create narrative design through light. Their most well known work this year is their bespoke bone china Leaf hanging sculpture which features stunningly hand finished in 14 karat gold and platinum lustres or white glaze, producing a unique effect with light and shadow when lit from above. It was exciting to hear from Ben what’s in store for them for 2017, tune in below.

designjunction has grown immensely this year with the formal announcement of a brand new hub for creativity in the heart of kings cross - #KXCQ. For London Design Festival, more than 200 contemporary brands, designers, and studios, take home to the area near UAL to come alive with a theme that’s all about immersive design.
