Sector Experience
Throughout my internship I worked with numerous Stake Holders and professionals on a number of projects of differing size and scale. I developed my technical abilities from a design point of view, broadened my understanding of planning policies and process’ and greatly enhanced my commercial awareness. I developed Skills in winning new contracts, and in assisting business plans and funding bids for a number of Tenders. I also experienced community development, engaging and working with residents through workshops, neighbourhood groups, communities and small businesses. Furthermore I assisted in designing and implementing research projects, and in undertaking consultation, feasibility studies and evaluation of organisations and programmes.

University of Manchester, Town and Country Planning (MTCP) - Undergraduate Masters (RTPI Accredited) - 4yr course, BA - 2:1, Key subjects:, - Planning policy and Law, - Urban Regeneration , The MTCP course afforded numerous opportunities to work on real projects with both public and private sector bodies, such as GVA Grimley and Manchester City Council. I particularly enjoyed these ‘hands on’ projects as this has helped me develop good commercial awareness and a stronger understanding of planning policy in practice.
