About me
Hi there,
I am writing to you today to apply for your junior copywriter position at Ted Baker. I have a first class honours degree in Media & Communication which I graduated from in February 2010 and have been working as a creative consultant at Beacon Radio in Wolverhampton for 8 months. I also worked for Global Radio for 9 months during my university study in a writing role.
I am an enthusiastic and reliable individual, always willing to contribute ideas and very willing to learn. I am also passionate about writing, and have been a consistently high achiever in English study throughout my education.
I am equally as passionate about fashion, shopping and clothes, being an avid reader of Harpers Bazaar and regularly attending fashion events in my current location in Birmingham.
In my role at Beacon Radio, I work with direct and agency clients and our in-house sales team to take briefs, generate ideas and write innovative and engaging radio campaigns. I have had extensive training in writing effective copy and have produced campaigns that are both creative and that achieve good results for clients. I have also had my work entered into the Cream Midlands awards by senior writers and our commercial director.
My role also requires me to be highly organised, juggling multiple briefs and campagins at once, working to tight deadlines, attending frequent appointments throughout Beacon's TX area across the Black Country and Shropshire, and also keeping detailed records of our performance against target, profit margins and PRS music details.
In my free time I enjoy reading about fashion and clothes shopping, travelling, enjoying good food, reading, and I have recently started writing a blog on food, another passion of mine. I also have a full, clean UK driving licence.
I feel that as a young professional, although lacking the experience some writers posses, I can bring a spark of enthusiasm and fresh ideas to Ted Baker, alongside high quality writing and a real desire to learn and progress in my career.
I look forward to hearing from you regarding this vacancy.
Kind Regards,
Chloe Gorman
