Dear Sir/ Madam
I have recently graduated from The University of Birmingham with a 1st class degree in BA English Literature, and am very interested in interviewing for the position of Junior Copywriter. I believe I have the academic, creative and organizational qualities that make me an excellent fit for this role, along with a strong positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
I graduated with a 1st class degree, and a 1st class research project, and this is indicative of my excellent writing and editing skills, as well as my keen attention to detail and ability to accurately respond to a task.
Over the last two years I have produced online content for two companies and had a review published in an Australian magazine. Working as part of the marketing team for an IT service provider required me to produce concise, engaging content for the company blog, harnessing WordPress and basic HTML to ensure pages appeared as they should.
In this role I was involved in the web design process and in developing and delivering marketing strategies. I was often expected to work independently after group meetings. This developed my ability to make decisions inline with specifications and produce copy that was on brand.
These experiences have cemented my research and referencing skills, both for information and images. Thanks to my degree discipline and the nature of these previous roles I am used to working within deadlines and I am always willing to put in the extra effort to ensure projects are finished on time.
My career history has not only polished but also highlighted my ability to communicate successfully with clients and work colleagues. I have proven experience in organizing meetings and supporting account managers in client facing situations. I have often received praise in previous work environments for my professional manner and excellent problem solving skills. I am eager to bring these qualities to your team, and to work with and learn from like-minded people.
