About me
Dear Sir/Madam,
Graphic Design has always been something I enjoy doing. Before university I studied at The BRIT School where I was first taught about Graphics in depth. I have recently graduated from university and have since completed an intern with a textile print company.
During my time at university I had to use the Adobe Creative Suite on a regular basis so feel very comfortable in using their programmes, such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. I learnt a lot about reproduction, production and print at university and even participated in producing a book outside of my taught time. I found the whole process, beginning to end, very enjoyable and loved to see it develop into a physical piece of work.
Since leaving university I have worked on three different music videos where I had to create type and illustrations, both digitally and hand drawn. I believe working on these have improved my type skills by receiving feedback from the client, and can also explain in a clear manner to clients what my thoughts and ideas are. I have also attended talks by 'The Typographic Circle', which allow me to see, learn and keep up to date with type and design.
I am friendly, enthusiastic individual, who works well on my own and also as part of a team. I am able to communicate my thoughts and idea in a clear manner also. I always push myself and aim to make my work the best it can be, as many people could see it. I also like to keep up to date with all things creative and I am willing to learn, allowing me to deepen my knowledge and understand different processes.
I believe that I would be a good candidate for your role of 'Junior/Graduate Creative Designer/Artworker' that I have seen advertised on Indeed because I feel like this is an opportunity for myself that cannot be missed. Although I have been to university and have done some Graphic Design work, my experience is minimal and I am very eager to grow within this industry and believe this would be a great experience for me. I am a very confident user of the Adobe Creative suite, especially Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. I work well to deadline, giving myself time to go back over all projects to make sure they're the best they can be. I am also able to visualise and verbalise ideas well.
