Smothering heartache tries to explore illness and dignity in living/dying.
Nives has been diagnosed with mental illness more than 20 years ago. Since then, she's taken so many medications that she started losing the ability to walk, talk and take care of herself.

She's now in a nursing home. Nobody knows what she's thinking or what she's feeling.
Nives is my grandmother. Or, at least, what of her is left.
This series aims at capturing her strive for life. She keeps fighting for a life she’s not living. But to her, that’s good enough.
