ABOUT

A dragon and phoenix are cultural icons in China that resonate value and strength from use of ancient emperors. I captured this into a watch design that featured a silver patterned coin with a mode of brass around it. This conveying the colour themes used to express the luxury from ancient emperors. The design language features a flying dragon and phoenix in clouds, this bringing hommage to the decoration used to express the narrative and heritage of the art at the time.
