ABOUT

We developed a marketing concept for Hewlett Packard as a demonstration which involved a Windows Mixed Reality Software application compatible with their Hewlett Packard Mixed Reality headset. There was also a complimentary Windows application that worked independently of the headset. The aim was to illustrate the potential of using Virtual reality to create a product showroom which did not have the restrictions of floor space as at retail stores. The concept was done in three days including the 3D modelling and software programming allowing interaction with the Mixed Reality headset and motion controllers. The VR application allowed the user to navigate in VR space using the HP Mixed Reality controller. Content was limited as it was only a demo. Retail staff were quiet enthusiastic and committed however this sentiment was not shared by management staff at HP head-office.
