About me

I specialise in printed textiles & illustration but I also have a variety of skills in mixed media textile & garment design.
I mainly find inspiration for designs from vintage shops/markets, couture designers, museums and artist. I also like to create designs that have a deeper meaning, commenting on social & environmental issues. Using this inspiration, I create interesting designs that express my personal view of the world in an artistically unique way, that is backed up by an in-depth body of research.
In university I was taught to look for inspiration everywhere and to follow contemporary fashion brands/trends. I do however have a passion for sustainable fashion so I like to try to find ways of designing contemporary yet environmentally friendly designs, through statement textile and eco-friendly materials.
