About me

I am currently an editorial assistant at the National Theatre. We create and proof copy across the organisation, generating original content in addition to commissioning work for our programmes. We also publish in-house texts and products, which we see through from conception and planning, to the finished product. I thrive on being handed a project and being allowed to invest it. I also greatly enjoy language and words and take pleasure in working hard to communicate different departments ideas on behalf of the NT.

Outside of my vocation I am a versatile illustrator and writer. I specialise in cartoons and writing comedy across many different mediums, including for stage and radio. My written work has been performed at many London venues including The Vaults and the International Youth Arts Festival and my art work has been commissioned by the National Theatre, Deep East Music, Marble & Ware and KHP Coffee. As my career progresses my hope is that I can unite more of my creative passions with my work.

I am outgoing and feel most energised when working directly with other people. I believe I am at my best when receiving brief to work towards and thrive when asked to generate new ideas and find creative solutions to problems. I hope that I have a unique voice, but I can adapt and be malleable around projects that demand something other than my own style. Whatever the route, I relish the beginning of a mission and driving it through to a satisfying finish.

Otherwise, my time consists of cartoons, 20th century classics, radio comedy, comic books and zines, breakfast cereal, performing stand-up, dungeons & dragons, playing and watching football, and looking at my hair for long periods of time in the mirror, like a canary.
