About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing in response to express my interest in the copywriting position.

I am currently working at Trinity Mirror within the commercial editorial unit, on a temporary basis (maternity cover), and offer excellent copywriting, proof reading and press experience. I work within a team covering over 26 different titles, producing creative copy for advertising articles, news items and feature articles.

I deal with a variety of clients, working to promote their businesses, as well as writing generic copy to accompany advertising supplements.

As part of the commercial team I work on magazines such as Style, Confetti, Welsh tourist guides and My Local Village guides; creating clear, concise and inspiring editorial to attract readers.

I volunteered at National Museums Liverpool (NML) where I worked within the marketing and communications department and the publications department.

My duties whilst working at NML were to produce copy for a variety of the quarterly guides as well writing press releases, attending press calls, targeting local/national journalists and working with designers to produce publications.

I am very proactive, confident, creative and organised, with a good eye for detail. I enjoy working within a team and have excellent research skills.

In conclusion, I believe that my diverse copywriting skills, commercial awareness, and flexible attitude will make me ideal for this position.
