The branding for Xalapa, a Mexican restaurant in Shenzhen, is designed to capture the energy and richness of Mexico’s cultural heritage. Through bold colors, dynamic lines, and expressive visuals, the identity reflects the warmth, diversity, and authenticity of Mexican cuisine and hospitality.

The design process began with selecting a series of iconic elements from Mexican culture, such as chili peppers, the national flag, mariachi bands, and tacos. These symbols were carefully chosen to authentically represent the essence of Mexico.

Using a unified color palette, the elements were illustrated through a combination of bold lines and dynamic color blocks. By experimenting with different arrangements of primary colors, a diverse yet cohesive set of visually striking patterns was created. This approach ensures a strong, recognizable brand identity that captures the vibrancy and cultural richness of Mexico.
