About me
Dear Mantra Lingua,
Please find attached my CV in application for the post for Junior Graphic Designer.
My name is Celia and I have just graduated from the London College of Communication studying for a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic and Media Design. I was awarded a 2:1 in my degree from University of the Arts London.
I am interested in the post as I am very keen to start my career in the graphic design and creative industry. Having qualified in Graphic Design, I consider that my main skills lie in the field of branding and illustration. I love the process of turning the idea inside a customer's head into reality, whether it be for print or web, and I feel my illustration skills augment my design skills. I am interested in all aspects of design, both online and offline and I'm ambitious to start my career and increase my skills working within a team.
My online portfolio can be found at celiacolesdesign
The nature of my degree course involved a great deal of independent working, requiring initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skills. As you will see from my portfolio, I have covered a variety of skills in my university projects, including illustration and design layouts. I have also covered the design of web assets during my part time work at Coles Design, two of the main clients being Oxford University Press and Pearson. Working at Topshop, starting as only a temp in July, to being asked to become a specialist by September, has also allowed me to grow in confidence with dealing with the customers requirements, and also having more responibility for my own within the team.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Celia Coles
