ABOUT
Following the merger of two respected learning disability and autism charities – ‘Kisharon’ and ‘Langdon’ – we were appointed to develop a brand for the newly combined organisation, Kisharon Langdon.
The new brand identity needed to unify two long-standing organisations while reassuring existing communities, maintaining key recognition markers and embracing a bold, inclusive future. Most importantly, the brand had to place people with learning disabilities and autism front and centre.
Our solution combines colour, form, language and visuals to create a flexible, modern identity that celebrates individuality and cohesion. A distinctive ombre line which is utilised throughout the brand, symbolises unity, continuity and motion, while the over-arching campaign message, ‘Journey of a Lifetime’, captures the charity’s lifelong support for those it serves on their journeys toward independence.
With accessibility, warmth and optimism at its core, the new brand has successfully rolled out across print, digital, signage, events and fundraising materials – officially launching with a major donor event that raised over £2.2 million in one evening. Engagement and awareness of the combined charity has since grown across all channels.
The new identity has repositioned Kisharon Langdon as a progressive, people-first organisation that proudly stands out within the Jewish charity and wider disability sector.
AIMS:
The rebrand was initiated following the merger of two charities – ‘Kisharon’ and ‘Langdon’ – both supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism. The merger created a need for a united brand that would retain key equities and values from both organisations, while confidently presenting Kisharon Langdon as a singular, forward-thinking, inclusive charity.
Each legacy organisation brought loyal stakeholders, different brand expressions, and unique community ties. The challenge was to develop an identity that would reassure existing supporters, attract new donors and reflect the evolving ambitions of the combined entity.
Crucially, the organisation wanted to present the people that it supports at its heart – placing them front and centre of services, community, fundraising and communications. The brand needed to be accessible, joyful and respectful: celebrating individuality, championing inclusion and supporting lifelong care.
Beyond visual elements, the brand had to function as a unifying tool, one that could strengthen internal culture, align messaging and give clarity to external communications.
The aim was also to develop a campaign narrative that reflected the charity’s critical role in enhancing people’s lives – a journey potentially stretching from early years to adulthood – highlighting its impact and purpose in a way that would inspire deeper emotional and financial investment.
APPROACH:
The rebrand was led by Creative Clinic, a specialist agency with extensive experience in third sector branding, fundraising and digital strategy. Working in close partnership with Kisharon Langdon’s internal marketing and fundraising team, the process was shaped by collaboration, insight and deep respect for the communities the charity supports.
Despite a modest budget, value was maximised through phased delivery. Extensive stakeholder engagement was central to the process, including workshops and interviews with trustees, service users, families, and staff to define the tone, priorities and emotional cues that would inform the new identity.
Accessibility emerged as a priority consideration. The visual and verbal language had to be inclusive, warm and practical, while also ambitious enough to reflect a bold new chapter.
Inspired by the concept of unique parts coming together to form a stronger whole, the brand identity blends the distinctive legacy colours of the two original charities (Langdon’s orange and Kisharon’s navy/mint) into a continuous ombre line, symbolising unity, cohesion and consistency. The logotype retains familiar typography from both charities to ease transition, with plans to evolve into a single custom font as recognition grows.
The overarching campaign concept, ‘Journey of a Lifetime’, encapsulates the charity’s unique role in supporting people with learning disabilities and autism from early years into adulthood.
The rebrand rollout included guidelines, digital and print assets, a new website, and collateral for events and fundraising. Challenges around brand loyalty and integration were overcome through clear communication, inclusive design and a unified belief in the charity’s mission.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
Following a phased rollout during 2024, the rebrand launched officially in January 2025 at a major-donor event where the identity and campaign were expressed at scale through empowering imagery on screens and printed assets placed throughout the venue. The event raised £2.2 million in one night, a spectacular result for its inaugural fundraising dinner.
The campaign theme, ‘Journey of a Lifetime’, has since underpinned communications across fundraising, education, social enterprise and family engagement. It encapsulates the charity’s cradle-to-adulthood approach, reinforcing the long-term impact of its work in a way that is easily understood, emotionally resonant and memorable.
The brand has been widely embraced by staff, supporters and people the charity supports. Internally, the identity has brought clarity and confidence to teams navigating post-merger operations. Externally, it has improved audience understanding, engagement and recognition.
Digital performance has improved significantly. The new and evolving website – designed with accessibility at its core – is now a key touchpoint for service users, families and funders.
Engagement across social and digital channels has also grown, supported by more accessible, consistent brand templates.
Fundraising materials, educational content and event collateral now feel unified and more professional – making communications more efficient and mission-driven.
Creative Clinic remains Kisharon Langdon’s ongoing agency partner, supporting campaign development, fundraising, digital strategy and day-to-day design needs.
In a complex and sensitive merger, this brand has helped bring two communities together under one banner. It is now a powerful platform for long-term social impact, growth and visibility in the learning disability and autism space.
