About me
Knowledge, ingenuity, logic and application are what I believe are key principles to developing a successful product. I am a Product Design graduate, graduating from the University of East London with a 1st Honors and also the co-founder of a developing smart device Vibonyx, that helps with stress relief and was also recently showcased at the ABP London's 2018 Tech Week Exhibition, where I also held a presentation about the product.
Product design is not just about making something look aesthetically good, it must be accurate in its functionality and purpose for it to fulfill its purpose efficiently - 'form follow function' is a discipline I follow habitually. I am also a strong believer of the design process (research, conceptualisation, refinement and implementation), as each stage is prerequisite to one another - in other words, they are all dependent on one another! I also believe that product design is a career of constant learning and that is why I am in love with it. All products of the world are purposed for all kinds of subject areas and learning about that particular subject area is imperative to insuring the product is based on accurate, relevant and factual information. Take our new Vibonyx smart devices; in order to insure our product was accurate in stress relief and the techniques it uses, I had to delve into the world of psychotherapy and neurology and learn about how bi-lateral stimulation (an EMDR therapy treatment) is efficient in "re-wiring" neural pathways in order to disassociate negative emotions from traumatic memories - thus being a sufficient process of stress relief which was then implemented into our product!
Communicating theories and ideas through words is important but limited in allowing one to fully understand an idea. That is why it is important to visually and physically be able to communicate ideas, something I am extremely adept at doing! I am proficient at
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create vector concepts, packaging design, logos or any graphic related designing
- Solidworks to create CAD graphics and high fidelity renders of Photoview360. I've also used Solidworks to create STL files in order to 3D-print models.
- Sketching and marker rendering to create clear and detailed concepts.
- Growing knowledge in Arduino, which I have used in many of my projects to make functional prototypes.
- 3D-printing knowledge, especially in the FDM (Fused-deposition Modeling) as I own a dual 3D-printer.
- Model making skills, such as woodwork, blue foam modeling and other workshop modeling techniques.
