About me
I am an illustrator and designer. Through my work I intend to
explore and communicate ideas, issues and information that one may
initially over look. I aspire to educate, communicate and inform with
all of my work. I work best under pressure when I have been forced to
think quickly. The ethos of my work is to relate ideas whilst creating
a sense of humour and optimism for the subject in hand. My style is
organic yet clean and simple; my outlook is playful and honest. Simple
ideas and meticulous and considered aesthetics seem to lead to the best
results. One idea or piece of information always leads to the next. I
enjoy finding unusual ways of communicating an idea, or creating a
visual play on words.
I graduated from Camberwell College of arts in 2006; the course was
intense and had a ‘fine art' ethos that encouraged us to
discover alternative methods of design and work as a team. I thoroughly
enjoy working with others and building on ideas. I enjoy experimenting
with design mediums to seek out the most appropriate and interesting
results, I always complete the finished product to a very high
standard.
I am competent using various design programmes such as Quark Xpress
and CS3, in particular Photoshop with which I have many years
experience as an image editor. I am extremely computer literate and am
able to learn programmes quickly. I have a basic knowledge of HTML,
which I am currently studying to further my skills.
I have a degree in graphic design and a wide variety of experience
in all areas of design; this has been mirrored by an ongoing interest
in marketing and retail.
