CANNT Be Divided - The Cannt Festival want to unite us all this June (2017)

Published by

Not everyone is heading to the Cannes this year, so what about those left to get on with making the amazing work, while the big cheeses drown in Rosé?

Now in its eighth year, the CANNT Festival will return to London, and major cities across the world, from the 19th to 23rd of June to inspire, showcase and reward the best creative talent.

This year’s theme “CANNT Be Divided” builds on 2016’s adventure, and is all about repelling divisive forces with a glorious celebration of how creativity helps bring people, ideas and causes together.

The festival has once again teamed up with Creative Equals to further promote recent industry efforts to ensure the collaborative teams of the future are not only gender, economic and ethnically diverse, but also committed to reach beyond perceived divisions as they strive to deliver the very best creative ideas.

In an exciting development for the festival, CANNT and Facebook Creative Shop will promote opportunities for new creative talent, and showcase their Canvas hack for mobile folios, awarding prices through The CANNT Get Noticed Awards (join the Facebook group to get started).

This year the London based festival is focused on two key events, one West, one East:

CANNT Be Divided - A collaboration with Publicis UK and Facebook Cannected, including CANNT Speed Critique supported by Havas London, along with drinks and entertainment on Wednesday 21st June at Publicis UK Baker Street office.

CANNT x glug - A joint event with the popular ‘Notworking™’ network to bring a London style feel good factor to an afternoon and evening at Cargo on Thursday 22nd June. Where attendees will get the chance to meet some of the key players from London’s top agencies.

In addition, the Young Creative Council will be running its internship CANNT Cannes You Kick It? An initiative that offers the best Creative Interns to cover agencies that have shipped their creative stars out to Cannes for the week.

This year the festival has teamed up with Anne-Marie Sheedy of Life Is Too Short to help run the program. Sheedy along with Facebook are supporting CANNT Get To London, a partnership with Creative Equals, to raise money to support an outstanding graduate creative to live and work in London.

Confirmed festival partners are: Creative Equals, Publicis UK, Facebook, Glug and Young Creative Council. With generous support from: BIMA, Bloom, Creative Social, Dawn, Dentsu Aegis Network, Digital Mums, DMA, Havas, IPA, Isobar, Life is Too Short, Isobar, Mr President, Pride, Stripes and SheSays.

Details of the events and tickets can be found at @canntfestival on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, with more details at cannt.org and glugevents.com. If you’d like to sponsor the festival, or simply find out more get in touch.
