CANNT Festival 2016 Encourages Diversity and Togetherness

Now in its 7th year, the CANNT Festival will be taking place in London and Seattle between the 20th and 24th of June, to inspire, showcase and reward the best creative talent.

As in previous years the timing of CANNT, corresponds with the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity. And offers those unable or unwilling to attend the French Riveria a chance to meet like minded people, get inspired and indulge in some creative fun. It’s a ‘thank you’ to the ever-increasing number of people involved in today’s creative gems – from production houses, designers and creative teams to directors and innovation wizards.

In an exciting development for the festival, BIMA Ambassador and Possible MD Gareth Jones, is bringing Cannt to Seattle and the West Coast of America. “We’re incredibly excited to be launching the already epic Cannt festival in the US. It’s a perfect opportunity to give another unique twist to the Cannes spirit of creativity and encourage those that don’t want to travel thousands of miles to get together in Seattle, one of the world’s most innovative and inspirational cities, to celebrate all the things that make our industry great.

This year, Cannt’s theme is celebrating diversity and togetherness; recognizing recent industry efforts to ensure the collaborative teams of the future are gender, economic and ethnically diverse to help deliver the very best creative ideas.

The festival features a series of entertaining and educational events hosted by agencies, production partners and content platforms. Key initiatives include: Cannt Be Replaced by the Young Creative Council, who are offering the best Creative Interns to cover agencies that have shipped their creative stars out to Cannes for the week. Cannt Speed Critique, by Havas Helia and Creative Equals a speed-date style folio critique for aspiring creative from diverse backgrounds.
