About me
I graduated with a 2:1 in Visual Communication from the Edinburgh
College of Art in 2009 and have spent the last 12 months working as a
freelancer.
I am highly passionate about editorial design and the publishing
industry and have always aligned myself with briefs which pertain to my
interests. For example, while I was studying at College I went on work
placements to the Scotland on Sunday newspaper where I gained vital
experience in learning exactly how a busy creative environment is
organsed. The workload was intense but I managed to adapt which helped
to not only develop my confidence but also my general skills in the use
of InDesign and Photoshop.
I believe that I would be a benefit to your organisation as I am
enthusiastic, a good listener and highly adaptable. I'm not afraid
to ask questions and have very strong written and verbal communication
skills, which are vital when working within a team - no matter what
size.
My passion for the industry is what has driven me to relocating to
London where hopefully I will be able to make the transition from
freelancer into working on a full time or part time basis.
