ABOUT

Concept: Slidr is a startup that offers new luxury items, at prices that are always cheaper than retail. The mechanism they use to shop/check price on their website, as well as the concept, is pretty new, and relatively technical. The goal was to 1). work with the founders to define their brand, 2). work with the founders to define their brand, 3). rewrite the content pages on the website, 4). redesign the site structure, and 5). script a video.

Execution: Working directly with the founders, I researched the userflows and the information hierarchy. We defined the brand mission, or "what we do", by working out the value proposition for the customer, rather than the explanation of the site. We moved from "Use an proprietary algorithm to get luxury goods for less" to "Change the way you shop online. Browse. Slide. Buy". I spent time rewriting and redesigning the site structure, from the menu items and categories to the about us page and delivery page.

I'm most proud to have taken their onboarding from 13 steps to 6. I definitely high-fived many people that day.

Results: Overall, Slidr came out with a slicker, smoother website, and branding that spoke the customer needs, not the founders pride in their product.
