My client project for University is for the international gay dating app Grindr. Steve Lavin, the Head of Global Advertising for Grindr set the brief to create an advert based on bullying to help raise awareness for Grindr’s views on equality and equity for the gay community working towards stamping out bullying within the 21st Century. My idea focused around the fact that “40% of young LGBT community have self-harmed”, my final idea uses derogatory words cut in to skin. The main poster features an image of a healed cut, which shows the slogan cuts heal, words remain. The model is seen shirtless to represent how vulnerable a person feels in this situation.
