Animation experiment from a 2014/15 residency commission by Cabinet of Curiosity Studio, designer/maker Caroline Collinge and architect Edmond Salter for the Re:Make project at Museum of Making at Derby Silk Mill. The stop motion film is one of a series of shorts that involved re-animating objects within the museum's collections that had been temporarily mothballed during a major refurbishment project. This animation features a Philip's Manikin: a Victorian anatomical pop-up book of the human body. Philips were a publisher of maps; this book was their first publication of the male anatomical body.
