La Buvette is a family run kiosk and events space at Lido San Domenico, a popular summer destination for locals and tourists alike on beautiful lake Lugano in the Swiss Canton Ticino. After witnessing a growing popularity of the place thanks to the low key, friendly service and the focus towards natural foods and drinks, they thought their brand identity needed a revamp that could better deliver the upbeat community feeling that they foster.

Spend a few hours in Lugano and you'll notice swans roaming free on the lake and its shores, often fed and photographed by curious visitors. We think the animal is so iconic to the area that we centred the new La Buvette logo around it, paired with a bold lettering inspired by the geometry of lake moorings. We created simple but playful iconography for the food and drink categories on their menu, then put them together as a flexible background pattern to be used on social media and some of the printed material. Lastly, the new branding features on the two house wines made in collaboration with the local winemaker Cantina Morcote.
