"A huge privilege and a totally daunting task all rolled into one." That’s the best way our Executive Creative Director can think to describe what it was like to be (t)asked with creating a new ‘home’ for us groupies.

There were times over the final weekend when he admits to fearing that it might not happen and, had it not been for the Herculean efforts of some (special mention to Phil, he’s the one picking at some pastries in one of the photos), it might have been a distinct possibility.

But as a certain Nolan Bushnell once said “the ultimate inspiration is the deadline” and sure enough somehow, gradually, finishing touches were applied, loose bolts were tightened and cupboards were stocked.

We’re in now. The challenges, tribulations and inevitable compromises behind us and, thankfully, everything working pretty much as we imagined and hoped (sometimes even prayed!) it would.
