Whoopi Goldberg needs no introduction. The life and soul of any occasion, with a genuine love of hosting and bringing people together through incredible dinner parties, it is only right that she has her own prosecco brand.

We captured the essence of Whoopi to ensure Whoopi Prosecco was not ‘just another bottle of prosecco’, but a premium lifestyle brand that would be the centrepiece of any social gathering. This intention led to our creative platform ‘Conversation Starters’ - we wanted to create something that could be placed in the middle of a table and get people talking.

From here our design concept originated, a bold and vibrant interpretation of one of Whoopi’s parties, where different personalities and conversations flow together. Colours, patterns and discoverable textures meet in a layered, artistic and expressive design. We pushed the boundaries of print technology to mimic Whoopi’s vivacious energy and the idea of individual characters coming together. The colour palette is deliberately striking, to stand out from the muted tones you tend to see in the prosecco space.

The joy is in the details with our design. ‘Conversations Start Here…”, revealed on the neck, encourages engagement at the point of opening, whilst “Small Bubbles, Big Talk” can be found on the main label, further signifying the beginning of a stimulating evening ahead. These straplines were then used across wider marketing and comms to amplify our ‘Conversation Starters’ concept.

The playful and colourful approach was reflected in every element of the design, no matter how small – a hot pink pull tab unwraps the neck to reveal a pop of contrasting green and Whoopi’s image as an illustration on the striking pink and orange metal cage of the cork.

Elevating details such as foiling, micro-embossing and debossing, add to the playful elegance of the design. As do the authentic quality cues, such as calling out the liquid’s Asolo provenance, superior DOCG certification and organic grapes, through a printed embossed stamp in pride of place next to the impactful pearl foil Whoopi logo.

The same attention to detail is carried over into the back label, elevating an area of pack that can often be neglected.
