In homage to their Head of Whisky Creation, Dr. Bill Lumsden’s dual passions of whisky and fine wine, Glenmorangie’s Pursuit of Passion Wine Cask Collection presents three exceptional whiskies, each finished in casks from the famed wine regions of Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Piedmont.

Glenmorangie is a single malt that is no stranger to wine cask maturation. But the Pursuit of Passion Wine Cask Collection elevates that association to a different level. Aged for a total of 27 to 29 years each, of which 18 to 20 years were spent in their respective wine casks, the collection is limited to just 600 sets and aimed at the discerning private sales consumer and luxury whisky specialists.

To reflect the unique journey that both each whisky and Dr. Bill had taken in bringing the collection to life, we delved deep into the rich terroirs that shaped each whisky. Taking inspiration from Bordeaux’s coastal beauty, the rolling hills of Burgundy, and the majestic Alps of Piedmont.

To visually capture these incredible landscapes, we crafted a striking triptych art piece. Each section inviting exploration of one of the whisky’s mesmerizing origins. Meticulously designed using distinct wood grains, the artwork reflects the flavour journey of each whisky, complemented by a vibrant colour palette that echoes Dr. Bill’s adventurous approach to whisky-making.

The handmade oak presentation case was designed as an elegant centrepiece. With intricate marquetry and graceful curves, it pays homage to the wooden staves of the wine casks that play a crucial role in crafting these whiskies. The landscape art features on its impactful front panel, which slides upwards to showcase the three exquisite bottles within against their respective section of the landscape.

Each bottle label proudly carries an interpretation of its landscape, printed on premium, FSC-certified craft stock, while multi-level embossing mirrors the textures of the wood grains seen on the outer case.

Alongside the pack design, we art directed the product photography for key visuals, created retail environments and window displays for high-end whisky specialists and curated the dining experience and accompanying 2D and 3D designs for private client events.

The Glenmorangie Pursuit of Passion Wine Cask Collection, priced at £7,740, is available exclusively through Moët Hennessy Private Sales. Later this year, collectors can also find it at the Glenmorangie Boutique in Heathrow Terminal 2, select retail outlets worldwide, and at the Distillery Visitor Centre in Tain.
