ABOUT

When I was younger, I used to read more comic books than I do today (yeah, shame on me).
The first superhero magazine I won was an issue of WildC.A.T.S and I remember how I was impacted by the Grifter character in the story. At the time, around my 9/10 years old, I was trying to copy the characters I liked as a way of practicing drawing and Grifter was the first of the super heroes I tried to reproduce with a pencil.

Now, 23 years later, I'm studying more about anatomy and proportions of the human body and I thought it would be nice to try to reproduce the Grifter again, but this time in 3d... There's no Uv's on this, just sculpt, polypaint, basic materials, and a lot of post work.

I used as a reference a concept that I really liked from the super talented Jim Lee and tried to re-imagine it without the mask.

*I ended up making some changes to the expression of the character during post-production.

Hope u like it
