ABOUT
Imagine you could travel back in time, let's say back to the eighteenth century, hiding your weird 2000 clothes and being able to speak the ancient language, so that nobody could tell you are a very weird foreigner. Just, for imagination is the key here, imagine yourself telling people about the future. That we will have longer lives. And that we will be able to travel around the world in a day and talk to each other using mobile-phones, communicating within incredible distances thanks to the internet. Telling them that we will have all the music we want in our pockets, and will be able to see people we have never seen before through a small ‘glass’. And all the improvement we will make in medicine, physics or the exploration of Space. Just tell them pretending not to be sure about it. What would people say? Most of them would say you are crazy. Most scientists would probably say something different: that you are naïve to think that mankind could reach such a development. Too much trust in mankind makes you a NAÏVE.
This work of mine has been a good way to practice my design skills but also to express my personal message, as someone who still believes that mankind can make it and survive its hardest challenges. It is not really about technology by now. People have to find a renewed spirituality which could, just as a consequence, bring the definitive technological development once and for all. We still have so much to know and so many fights ahead, but all of our efforts are leading to unity. Stop believing this is possible is the real threat to our future.
New Retro-wave is definitely one of my favourite kind of music, so I created this imaginary album, often listening to some good songs from this fascinating genre. It is the perfect sound for a good inner-self intimacy.
When you are alone, look for the stars reflected in the water or on a window pane. Or maybe even in a small pond in the forest. Are they there? Don't bother the ones who say you are naïve only because you look for the stars and see them in unusual places, even when the night is cloudy. Spirituality is often about things you see with your heart. So it is about being spiritual which means being in touch with your inner self. It is, if you like, a sort of intimacy that many should learn.
