ABOUT
Built for the analogue pre-Millennial Generation X and Y who prefer to experience their social media converted back into analogue, Brothers and Sisters developed a new form of social media that took user uploaded images that were then beamed across the internet and printed out from a fax machine before being sent directly to a shredder.
Since the June 2016 launch, Snapfax saw some regular and consistent shreds. Mr Donald Trump remained a classic shred, as did Boris Johnson, who post-Brexit nearly brought the entire single fax machine network to its ribbon.
The concept was brought to life with an ‘iPhone-esque’ launch video where creator and entrepreneur Jacob Carney explained the product and how it came to life.
The technology behind the Snapfax web app was developed in collaboration with Stink Digital where users could upload their own images and share them on social media.
The idea was picked up by many news and tech websites including The Mirror Online and More About Advertising did a ‘Top 5 Shreds of the Week’ feature for a number of months.
