ABOUT

Clean Analog

I set off with a goal - to develop my compositing - when I started this trio.

I want the analog look with digital resolution. I want the inky shadows and the faded mids. And above all, the pop where it matters. As of writing this I have already developed and rendered the second series in this triad. Worse yet, I have also developed a more IMAX-inclined project which will follow both the second and third entries in the current look. I have therefore set myself a hard limit on tries. Here's to the coming results.

As for the build itself, I took the classic Porsche 959 and threw in some other Porsche influences. A bit of 961, a touch of the 959's pre-production prototype and a splash of 911R. And yet, it is essentially a wingless 959.

This streamline design aims to be something between a saloon concept and a clean street build. As if a race team had gotten their hands on a race prototype and built it for looks and looks alone. The comically narrow splitter makes a return from my Ferrari-powered NSX-XX. The front and rear bumpers are all 911R attitude on the 959 adjacent bases. And the scoops are a little nod to the Ferrari rivalry, carrying over from my recent F40 LMO. Finally, the modified headlights on a Porsche have almost become a cliché in my portfolio. With one of the earliest examples also bearing covered main beams, with smaller lights mounted in the lower bumper.

It is perhaps that the remix of my own old ideas may become a path to new ones.
