ABOUT

The Chameleon

There is a certain irony in designing a car after an animal famous for its camouflage and having it look anything but discreet. An F1 grid wouldn't be able to hide the quirks in this build.

Starting up front, the regular old F1 nose of the era is replaced with a bulbous yet sharp-looking assembly. At the bottom of it, a tongue wraps itself around the front wing. A certain movie famous alien comes to mind when looking at this "face".

The eyes must then have been moved elsewhere. That where is the rear. Big round tail lights pierce the stares of any pursuer. The semi-open design emulates the chameleon's characteristic eyes.

And if such changes weren't enough, multiple changes and tweaks have been made throughout the body. Both big and small ones, these include an entire new section of bodywork at the rear and an overhaul of aerodynamics throughout.

This work is a part of a trio of experimental designs based on classic F1.
